Here comes the Fall

October

So many exciting activities this month! We saw our boys and girls compete in the All District Cross Country Run at McCarty Park. We also had an opportunity to do some science experimentation using dry ice! (Thanks for the fun and learning Mrs. Statza!) We have a mascot in 310, his name is Loki. We are enjoying getting to know him and what he is all about. Of course we continued working on our Readers and Writers workshops really focusing on book clubs and writing the "great narrative".  We can't forget Halloween and our own Willy Wonka!

September 2016

September:
The beginning of a new school year....new friends, new teachers, new experiences. We started our year with some "Get to know you" activities, including an group activity brought to us by Mrs. Statza (our new Enrichment teacher).  We had to try to quickly put together a puzzle and use communication strategies to encourage each other and accomplish a task in a positive way.

September also saw us start our Readers and Writers notebooks! We use these every day and they are very important for our learning.

One of the most exciting moments of our September was our trip to Madison.  See the pictures attached to this post.

The year is off to a great start!
